Interview with DJ Bubble
16th May 2010

(DJ Bubble before leaving for our Hardcore Heaven Weekender 6 adventure)
Right crew, I been out with the DJ Bubble reppin' it up large at the Hardcore Heaven Weekender 6 in Southport. We're now we are on the way back home in his lovely van we are starting to find the legendary Yellow Car game a little boring now (especially with me winning all the time). So its time we do something else to pass the time. Maybe an interview to see how his 2010 has gone so far, what he is up to at the min, and what he has planned for 2011….
Coxey -"Right Bubble, how are ya?"
Bubble - "I'm fine thanks matey apart from having to sit next to you for the next three hours" lol
Coxey - "Oh right thanks dude, nice of ya that. How you find the Weekender then?"
Bubble - "Yes thanks mate, it was brill. Just popped up to have a look and it seemed to be really good"
Coxey - 1 Q) "Anyways let's get down to some proper questions shall we? How has your 2010 been for you so for then DJ Bubble?"
Bubble - 1 A) "It's been a manic few months. Been focusing on production in the studio on JB projects, stringing ideas together for possible events but with the country in the recession it's in at the min I'm a little unsure about it. I have also been trying to push myself more as a DJ as well as learning more about being a promoter".
Coxey - 2 Q) "With what you said in reference to JBrecordings what have you got lined up for the rest of this year with the lads at the label?"
Bubble - 2 A) "With the boys (Paul Manx, Matt Envy and Frooty) we're working hard on our first ever downloadable album which is 100% FREE but is only available on SerisousSounds.net. I'm really excited about this as we have all been working really hard, trying to push the sounds of JBrecordings.
The album will feature all tunes JBrecordings orientated from the past, present, and future releases giving it the name of the album. 'Past, Present, & Future'.
Also in mid August we'll be releasing 10 tunes. After that December will be out next batch".
Coxey - 3 Q) "Are you going to be working with anyone else this year of any great superior recognition?
Bubble - 3 A) "Yeah" lol. "After Spain ill be laying down new material with Joey Riot and MC Enemy (If we can turn him away from the mirror for just one sec) **Bubble laughs to himself**.
Ill be doing stuff with Jamie Ritman and Himbo at some point too as well as collabs with Chris Fear when he gets his house sorted" ;);)
Coxey - 4 Q) "So we can get a clear picture of what JBrecordings is, can you explain it in FOUR words?"
Bubble - 4 A) "Euphoric, warm, memorable and hard"
Coxey - "If that is not a solid reason to get locked into the sounds of JBrecordings I don't know what is!!" lol

Coxey - 5 Q) "With everything you have in mind production wise this year that you want to achieve, what else can we expect from you this year to inject the scene with some more DJ Bubble?"
Bubble - 5 A) "I start work on the track listing for a two hour Headline Showcase Mix with some of my personal favourite classics, up to date tunes, and hey, I might event throw some Drum and Bass in too. This will be only available on EastCoast-Mixes podcast and download sites in October".
Coxey - "Yeah man, I'm looking very much forward to this ya know. Be good to see you feature on this new revolutionary idea".
Coxey - 6 Q) "What events are you looking forward to playing at this year?"
Bubble - 6 A) "Spain is always my favourite. I will be playing on the Monday night doing a main room Freeformation classic set including tunes such as Adagio for Strings and more…. I will have to clean my C.D's for this one. Not played Freeform in a while.
Ill be playing in room 2 that same night doing a JBrecordings set. Hopefully ill have new material by then. Gutted not doing a boat trip, BUT you NEVER KNOW. As the saying goes, 'What happens in Spain, Stays in Spain'?
I'm really looking forward to Global Gathering. Especially as it's the first time a hardcore tent has been there. Can't let the HTID boys down for this one as they have been very good to me over the year (Big up Mark, Chris, Steve and the rest of the crew). It means a lot to me being on such a high profile line up there.
Have you seen the Sanctuary this year?!!
Really looking forward to this one. Thanks to Mike and Grant at Slammin' for this! Ill be playing on the outside stage on the Saturday. Played at last one, went on after Darren Styles and was one of most memorable moments of my life. Best bit was its outside. Hope the weathers nice!!

Coxey - 7 Q) "Wow, well looks quite busy, have you thought about 2011 yet?"
Bubble - 7 A) "People know me more as a promoter. In 2011 I want to get recognised more as a DJ rather than a promoter which will mean more long hours in the studio and less time on the Playstation lol But seriously, its time to step up my game, and all I can say is WATCH THIS SPACE…
- EastCoast will bring you everything you need to know as it happens!"
Coxey - "Well thanks for taking the time out your oh so busy schedule (consisting of me chatting shit to you for the rest of the journey) to do this interview. Hope it all works out for you, and as mentioned above, EastCoast-Promotions will keep everyone updated on Bubble, as it happens. Before I leave I have the madman of EastCoast-Promotions, Webbo on the phone ready to fire some mad questions to you…"
!! WEBBO'S MAD QUESTION CORNER !!
Webbo - "Hello Bubble. Hope your ok. I'm still at the Hardcore Heaven Weekender, in the café at the mo having breakfast."
Webbo - 1 Q) "If you could be a superhero who would you be and why?"
Bubble - 1 A) "I would like to be Batman, but because Batman is not a superhero I would not like to be a superhero at all. Reason why I would like to be him is because he is dark and mysterious."![]()
Webbo - 2 Q) "If you were in a boy band what would you call it?"
Bubble - 2 A) "United As One."
Webbo - 3 Q) "In Southport chips and gravy is priced at £2.25. Do you think this is a reasonable price?"
Bubble - 3 A) "To be fair, I think that is a reasonable price, but the best place to go for chips and gravy is 20miles up to Preston at a place called Penwortham, go down a road called Pope Lane where you'd find a lovely chippy called Goodwin's. Ask for a guy called Rob and he will give you chips and gravy for £1.50.
This chippy has been voted best chippy in England for the last three years in a row."
Webbo - 4 Q) "I have arranged for the Queen to come over to yours next week for dinner. What are going to cook her?"
Bubble - 5 A) "I will cook her spaghetti bolognas. People travel for miles for my secret ingredient sauce lol"
